The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning appliances. His focus is on robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. These multitaskers are a great option for those looking to cross mopping off the to-do list. Some have great mapping and obstacles avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads themselves to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than other models on this list, making it easier to navigate into tight corners and underneath furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of the best navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in robot vacuums. It's got a battery of 4600mAh which can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean.

It's extremely efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single pass. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to pick up dirt, pet hair, and poop with ease. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help to tease away debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by a lot. The rotating mop spins at a high velocity and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scraping away dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is helpful when you're trying to get into difficult corners or on baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to sweep larger objects, such as broken toys and fallen books.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't make the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to install and performs well however it's something you'll have to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a range of features.

The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the house and also detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and methodically. This will ensure a thorough and consistent clean, while also being relatively rapid.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach places. The side brush can be stretched to extend to the floor, close to the walls and other fixtures.  cheap robot vacuum cleaner  can also be washable and dry to reduce odors and prevent buildup.

App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction intensity and choose an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it must make, which will determine how fast the device will move through your home. You can also decide to turn off the side brush to avoid damaging rugs and carpets.

robot vacuums cheap  has a high price tag but comes with a large selection of innovative features. It is important to note, however, that the device is subject to recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For instance, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad needs to be replaced every three to six months.

This robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and offers a wide variety of physical automation features. It has an energy button that can also function as a general 'Clean' button and a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after completing its cleaning session. It also comes with a multi-functional dock which automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who wants an organized home that doesn't require hours doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a solid option. It is a powerful machine with smart navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home clean with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a two-in-one vacuum and mop. It is able to perform mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two components which include a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping unit that has microfiber pads. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming however it does mean you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature was its accurate map of your floorplan which it uses to draw the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at picking up hair from pets. It was able to collect a lot of the hair that our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots have struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low and there were pleasant jingles to signal that it was starting and finishing its work.

The biggest flaws were its lack of sophistication and the requirement to change out the modules when switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app cannot save multiple maps. This could be an issue if your home has several floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want a smart robot that is capable of mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. It does however, have distinct features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is most notable for its enormous dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin and a 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base also has a variety of control buttons that allow you to start a cleaning task, recall the robot, or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to turn off a child lock, which is a nice feature for parents who are worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to detect obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will steer clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognizing objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will sometimes get so entangled with an obstacle--such as the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you manually free it. Although this is not a common occurrence however, it was a gruelling experience when it happened particularly since the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert in its application.

Another issue that could be a problem is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You will need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't an issue apart from the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a huge difference from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxes.
